Article : Oasis reunion speculation
The article I have chosen is related to music, and talks about the possible reunion of British band Oasis.
The article says that the speculation started
after Liam Gallagher, former singer and frontman of the band, wrote a series of
tweets in his twitter account last Thursday night that spelled out the name of
the band, followed by a final tweet that said “Oasis”, signed by “LG”. Rumors
also say that they might be preparing their return for headlining Glastonbury festival
in June but there’s not an official confirmation.
It’s been said that they tried to contact with
Gallagher’s publicist for any comment about it but they were not available. Also,
they are old quotes from Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, who told in
an interview with NME in January that he thinks that Liam could do it (perform
at Glastonbury) because it is what he loves, his passion.
A spokesperson for Noel Gallagher said they
were not in position to comment on Liam’s tweets. But in the article it’s
recall that Noel said last November that he won’t be in the reunion if it happens
because “there is no band”.
There’s contextual information at the end of
the article that says that Oasis split in 2009 after a backstage fight between
brothers Liam and Noel.
